"Gold Rush"
Fall in Zion National Park is spectacular. The blazing colors can take your breath away. In an area called the Zion Narrows, a 16-mile long slot canyon, the rushing water continually carves its way through a sandstone labyrinth that draws thousands of nature enthusiasts every year.
This image was captured three to four miles from the end of the canyon, at a river bend. Given the time of year, the water was icy cold, moving very quickly, generating its own energy and momentum as it rushed, without hesitation, to its ultimate destination.
