The Anasazi people, who inhabited the Colorado Plateau, built thousands of dwellings and granaries. Many are located in alcoves high on cliff-sides but some are uniquely located, such as this small granary.

With a 30 minute exposure, this image was captured using a lantern to illuminate this whale shaped rock that provides shelter for this ancient food storage rock structure.
