"Oxbow Bend, Grand Teton National Park"

Silently watched over by majestic Mt. Moran, Oxbow Bend is a beautiful wildlife habitat tucked into the Grand Teton National Park, outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It is part of the famed Snake River, a meandering segment cut off from the main channel. The shape is said to be similar to the oxbows used by western pioneers, and thus its name.

This panoramic autumn landscape was the result of five images taken as the sun crested the mountain range, igniting the spectacular fall foliage. As one of the most photographed locations in the Park, this iconic image has been reborn through the photographer's sense of scale, drama, color and timing.
