"7th Wonder of the World"

San Francisco, the "city by the bay," is known for its incredible bridges, including the elegant and impressive San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. This bridge is remarkable in that it is the longest high-level bridge in the world, spanning over eight miles. In 1955, the American Society of Civil Engineers declared the Bay Bridge the Seventh Wonder of the World.

This photograph captures the majestic Bay Bridge on a clear summer night - a rare scene in a city known for its fog. The Embarcadero street lights cast an ethereal glow on the rustic pylons in the foreground, contrasting beautifully with the string-of-pearl lights crowning the bridge and the backdrop of an illuminated horizon showing off the distant lights of Oakland.

That is beautiful. The Bay Bridge is probably my favorite bridge.

For years I had to cross this bridge daily. Thank god that's over! Now I can enjoy this treasure in pictures. It is very difficult to capture The Bay Bridge with all four towers in tow, I have tried. Bravo for doing so with all of the clarity and detail. I do love her after all.

Wow. _Love_ this! As an Oaklander I'm partial to the Bay Bridge, and through your lens it's every bit as beautiful as the Golden Gate. Granted the eastern span is not as graceful, but when the seismic upgrades are done, perhaps you'd consider the challenge of a similar shot from the Emeryville marsh land, looking West towards SF? Peace
