Arches National Park in Moab, Utah, is known around the world for its incredible rock structures and amazing sandstone towers, bridges and monoliths. One of the most immediately recognized is the gravity-defying Balance Rock, a giant boulder that appears to be precariously perched atop a pile of smaller rocks in a mind-boggling pose.
